About Us

The Edinburgh LDV is a World War Two re-enactment society based in Scotland. We specialise in the early home front, particularly the work of the Local Defence Volunteers, the national citizen militia that was later renamed the Home Guard. We also cover topics including the Women’s Land Army, ARP, the Timber Corps, the sale and provision of food and day-to-day life during the first years of the conflict.

We are happy to attend events across the North of England and Scotland and are able to set up living history encampments, displays and take part in live skirmishes, as well as providing an in-depth knowledge of the period and the early Home Guard.

We are always keen to welcome new members.
